Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of dental hygiene. You will work closely with our dental team to promote oral health, educate patients, and assist in various dental procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care practices, and familiarity with pediatric dentistry.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records using Eaglesoft software.
Assist the dentist during procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques.
Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before patient visits.
Provide care for pediatric patients, ensuring a comfortable experience for children.
Collaborate with the dental team to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience or knowledge in pediatric dentistry is preferred.
Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques and assisting practices.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain infection control.
Ability to perform documentation review effectively.
Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
