Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including general dentistry and prosthodontics.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all instruments are sterile and ready for use.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Manage patient records using dental software such as Epic.
Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and safety protocols in the clinical environment.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients.
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology, dental terminology, and aseptic technique.
Experience in pediatrics or pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Ability to assist effectively in various dental procedures, including general dentistry and prosthodontics.
Proficient in taking vital signs and understanding their significance in patient care.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 13 – 16 per week
