OverviewAre you a caring, warm, and professional Dental Hygienist looking to make a difference in a supportive and friendly environment? Our small, family-focused dental practice is searching for a dedicated team player with an excellent bedside manner to join us!
Duties

Patient Care: Perform routine dental prophylaxis, removal of plaque and calculus, debridement and root planing. Administer topical and local anesthetic, fluoride treatments, and sealant application with proper isolation.
Preventive Care: Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including proper brushing and flossing techniques, plaque control instructions, and the importance of regular dental maintenance and examinations.
Examinations: Assist in the examination and assessment of patients’ oral and periodontal health, including capturing dental radiographs, periodontal charting, and taking intraoral photos and scans.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including updating patient medical history, charting conditions of decay and disease and documenting treatments, assessments, and patient interactions.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the dentist and other dental professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Patient Comfort: Ensure that patients are comfortable and relaxed during procedures, addressing any concerns or anxiety they may have.

Qualifications

Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
Knowledge of infection control procedures and best practices.
Familiarity with digital dental management software is a plus.
A caring and approachable professional who puts patients at ease.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and directly with the dentist to provide exceptional care.

Pay: $51.00 - $57.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
