Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and hygiene are maintained. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, utilizing medical imaging systems effectively.
Review patient documentation and medical history to ensure comprehensive care is provided.
Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by examining patient gums and teeth, using knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology.
Maintain accurate records using Dentrix or similar dental office management systems.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience in a dental office setting preferred, with familiarity in general dentistry practices.
Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation review processes is essential.
Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Dentrix, is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of anatomy related to oral health and hygiene practices.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
