Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. You will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, medical terminology, and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and support.
Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment in the dental office.
Stay informed about advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive patient experience.

Experience

A degree or certification in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program is required.
Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of medical coding and familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to oral health is essential.
Proficiency in using dental office systems and managing medical records effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for patient education and team collaboration.
