Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team at a busy dental clinic. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and office procedures, as well as proficiency in relevant software systems.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar effectively.
Handle patient inquiries and provide information about services offered.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Yapi.
Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage.
Utilize medical terminology and coding knowledge, including ICD-10, to assist with billing processes.
Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist at least 2 years.
Familiarity with dental software.
Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (ICD-10) is a plus.
Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism.
