OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality dental care to children, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout their dental visits. You will work closely with our dental team to promote good oral hygiene practices and educate young patients about the importance of dental health.
Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for pediatric patients.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of dental issues under the supervision of the dentist.
Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene practices and nutrition related to dental health.
Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the dental records.
Monitor vital signs as necessary during procedures to ensure patient safety.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care tailored to each child's needs.
Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry and best practices.

Skills

Proficient knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy relevant to pediatric dentistry.
Experience working in a dental office or clinic setting, particularly with children.
Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care.
Strong understanding of general dentistry principles as they apply to pediatric patients.
Excellent communication skills, particularly in explaining procedures and concepts to children and their guardians.
Ability to provide compassionate patient care while managing anxiety or fear in young patients.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
