Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting in the overall management of patient health. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and any changes in medical history accurately.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Review documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to patient appointments.
Utilize Dentrix software for scheduling, billing, and patient management tasks.
Monitor vital signs and provide appropriate care in accordance with established protocols.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and knowledge:

Proficiency with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software.
Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry principles.
Experience with medical coding is a plus but not required.
Familiarity with pediatrics is beneficial for working with younger patients.
Ability to assist with various dental procedures while maintaining a sterile environment.
Knowledge of documentation review processes to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
