Job Description

Simply Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics of Nashua has an opening for a full time Dental Hygienist. The Dental Hygienist provides exceptional patient care from infants to dentistry for teens. We are a leader in clinical care and employ a wonderful team of dental professionals that are committed to the care of our patients.

Responsibilities:

Collect medical and dental histories from patients
Chart dental conditions based on dentists' observations and evaluations
Sterilize dental instruments and tools
Instruct patients of all ages on proper dental hygiene and care
Expose radiographs
Provide any chair side assistance as necessary for routine hygiene visits
Deep Scaling
Anesthesia license (preferred, not required)
Calling patients for overdue recare
Stocking treatment areas and taking inventory
Providing patient care and support
Polish, floss and fluoride as needed
Sealant application
Updating patient record and exam notes



Requirements:


Valid state license as a Dental Hygienist
Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Open Dental for medical documentation and record keeping
Knowledge of dental office procedures and practices
Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and explain treatment plans
Attention to detail to accurately assess patient conditions and document findings
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
