Job Description
Job SummaryEdgewood Dental is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and treating periodontal disease. This role requires the ability to work effectively with patients to ensure their comfort and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized care instructions.
Maintain accurate patient records using EagleSoft software, ensuring all medical coding and terminology is correctly applied.
Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment for all procedures.
Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and office efficiency.
Stay updated on best practices in dental hygiene and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Experience
A Dental Hygiene license is required.
Proficiency in using EagleSoft or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
Strong communication skills with a focus on patient interaction displaying empathy and concern.
Qualifications
Registered Dental Hygienist with excellent communication skills
Familiarity with EagleSoft is advantageous
Skilled in patient care and assessment
Familiar with dental terminology and HIPAA regulations
Experience in general dentistry and aseptic techniques
