Job Description:
One of our Govt. clients in Florida is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join their team at the Health Department. In this role, you will provide dental care and education to patients, with a focus on pediatric care.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform dental cleanings, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing using dental instruments and hygiene equipment.
Educate patients on preventive dental care techniques.
Assist a high volume of patients throughout the day.
Work collaboratively with dentists, dental assistants, student assistants, and volunteers.

Work Environment:

Primarily based at the Marion County Health Department or school site locations (usually elementary schools).
10% travel may be required to different school sites. You may ride with a state employee in a state vehicle.
Dress code: Scrubs

Tools/Equipment Used:

Dental hygiene tools
Eaglesoft and HMS computer software

Qualifications:

Must have a clear and current Florida Dental Hygiene license.
Must have an active CPR certification.
Knowledge of dental terminology.
Knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices.
Skills using dental instruments and equipment and performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning.
Ability to instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) and Pediatric experience are highly preferred.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
