We are looking for a dental assistant to join our team who lives our core values of integrity, teamwork, and kindness. Our full-time team works four days per week, Monday - Thursday. We will provide training and support to help you feel confident in assisting with a wide range of procedures, including restorative, extractions, root canals, and implants.
Responsibilities
Welcome patients in the dental office
Have a basic understanding of dental terminology
Prepare patients for treatment or checkups ensuring their comfort which may include taking blood pressure and reviewing their health history
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material as needed
Sterilize instruments according to OSHA regulations
Assist the dentists through 4-handed dentistry
Take digital radiographs (X-rays) and CBCT images
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Take impressions
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental operatories clean and well-stocked
Schedule appointments
Maintain accurate patient records while remaining HIPAA compliant
Skills
Proven experience as dental assistant is preferred but not required (at least 1 year is preferred)
Basic Understanding of HIPAA policies and procedures
Understanding of OSHA health & safety regulations
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of Open Dental software is preferred but not required
CPR certification is preferred but not required
Requirements
High school diploma; Diploma from a dental assistant program and DANB X-ray certification are required
*Hourly pay is negotiable based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
