Requirements
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
Completion of an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program.
Active state dental license, with specific licensure required for the state where the practice is located.
Board certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) or equivalent certification body.
Proficiency in a wide range of oral surgical procedures, including but not limited to tooth extractions, dental implants, jaw surgeries, and oral pathology management.
Experience in administering anesthesia and sedation for surgical procedures.
Willingness to stay updated on advancements in oral and maxillofacial surgery techniques and technologies through continuing education and professional development activities.
Compliance with all relevant legal and ethical standards in the practice of oral surgery.
