Position Summary
The Practice Lead serves as the business partner to the Endodontist(s) and is responsible for leading operations within a dental practice setting. This includes OSHA/HIPAA compliance, superior patient care and practice business leadership. This is a leadership role that requires leadership experience, a strong business acumen as well as effective communication, organizational and accounting skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the practice runs efficiently and adheres to industry standards and regulations.
Lead, mentor, and support a team of dental professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and exceptional patient care and experience.
Manage the financial aspects of the practice, including billing, budgeting, and forecasting, to ensure profitability and sustainability. Adept at utilizing metrics to guide business decisions and optimize practice operations.
Ensure a high standard of patient care by liaising with the team, addressing patient concerns, and implementing feedback-driven improvements.
Effectively manage AR to ensure outstanding receivables are assertively worked and kept to acceptable standards (goal = AR > 90 days 10% or less).
Partner with Marketing Coordinator to support marketing initiatives.
Oversee logistics to ensure effective execution of marketing plans, including planning doctor lunches and other field efforts.
Assist with training of non-clinical new hires.
Build strong relationships with referring providers and help mentor practice staff to optimize marketing efforts.
Partner with RDO to hire strong talent - oversee sourcing candidates and hiring process.
Create and oversee staff and doctor scheduling
Partner with RDO to foster strong practice culture and employee relations
Special Projects and other duties as needed
The PL role is a non-exempt position. The work schedule is determined by the office hours of operations and may fluctuate.
Required Skills / Abilities
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
Working knowledge with dental procedures, terminology, and dental insurance submission
Excellent customer service skills
Strong leadership skills with a high level of professionalism
Good written and oral communication skills
Self-motived with strong time management and multi-tasking skills
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in business administration or related field is preferred
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of dental office management experience; and/or equivalent education and/or experience is required
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift-up to 15 pounds at times
Visual acuity to read records and documents
