Summary of Job Description:
The dental assistant will greet patients, lead them to the examining room, and prepare them to see the dentist. Main responsibilities include assisting the dentist in caring for the patients, as well as all other duties a registered dental assistant is licensed to perform. The registered dental assistant must follow all OSHA and HIPAA regulations, while working collaboratively with their team to provide quality patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Service Excellence
Abide by all protocols and policies of Assure Dental
Follow all duties set by the Dental Practice Act
Prepare and assist in dental procedures
Perform housekeeping duties before seating each patient
Prepare the operatory with all necessary instruments and moving equipment into place
Confirm all equipment is functioning correctly before seating a patient
Assist any doctor on staff if assistance is requested
Provide all patients with oral hygiene instructions and post-operative instructions
Verify a patient has a documented next visit appointment before the patient is dismissed
Maintain a clean central sterilization area
Staff must speak English at all times unless communicating with a patient who only speaks a foreign language
As an employee of Assure Dental, it is the employeeââ¬â¢s responsibility to report all broken or damaged equipment and instruments to the supervisor or manager immediately

Qualifications: Comprehensive understanding of dental instruments
Exceptional customer service skills
Ability to read and understand basic instructions and memos
Verbal communication skills while working with doctors and caring for patients
Ability to add and subtract whole numbers, change money for patients, and determine appropriate item quantities to order
Ability to resolve problems or concerns of the patients in a professional manner
Education:
A minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Certificates:
X-Ray License
CPR Certification
Ultrasonic Certificate (preferred, not necessary)
Coronal Polishing Course (preferred, not necessary)
Pit & Fissure Sealant Course (preferred, not necessary)
RDA (preferred)

While performing the essential duties of this Job, the employee is commonly required to stand, talk or hear. Additionally, employees in this position are frequently required to walk; use hands to lift, place, and handle, when working on patients. Reasonable Commute Agreement:
An employee will be assigned a home office location, which will be no further than thirty miles from their home address. Upon request, assistants must be able to float to other office locations staying within the same thirty-mile radius of the employeeââ¬â¢s home.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
