Dental Assistant/Esthetician
We are very excited to add a member to our team! We offer a unique opportunity to balance work/life with the hours we offer. If you have 2+ years of assisting experience we can teach the esthetics, if you have esthetic experience we can teach the assisting. Must posses a strong work ethic, upbeat attitude, promptness, attention to detail, and a willingness to work with patients of all ages and backgrounds. We have a beautiful, modern office that offers a comfortable work environment and friendly staff. We also have the greatest patients!
Duties include:
Preparing the operatory for procedures
Greeting patients; helping them feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
Gathering patient information and health background and blood pressure
Taking dental radiographs and intraoral photographs
Assisting the dentist/hygienist during examinations and dental procedures
Assisting the scheduling of subsequent patient appointments
Sterilization of instruments
Restocking treatment areas and monitoring inventory
Using a computer
Opportunity to learn front desk to assist when needed
Dental Assistant Requirements and Qualifications:
Must possess a "growth mindset" and true willingness to learn; must be able to demonstrate an above average work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to function as a team player
1+ years of dental assisting experience (preferred but WILL train the right person)
X-ray certification a plus
Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred but willing to obtain within 30days of hire)
Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
Proficient computer skills; Experience with Open Dental - (preferred but CAN train)
Excellent communication and people skills
Well-organized and extremely reliable
High school diploma (or GED)
Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)
