Job Description
We are looking for a Dental Assistant I for our Dental office in Waxhaw, with the knowledge and proficiency acquired from assisting in a general dentistry practice. This professional candidate should be a team player with a great attitude and possess a pleasurable and warm chair side manner. We prefer the candidate to be able to take digital X-rays and perform sterilization. We always welcome individuals that are bilingual in Spanish/English. This position will be full time 5 days a week (including Saturdays). We are willing to train them learn the software (open dental).
Responsibilities:
Hygiene assistant - manage the flow of recall and new patients
Assist the hygienist/dentist during procedures by providing chairside support and managing instruments.
Utilize dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Perform tasks related to general dentistry, including taking digital X-rays, digital scanning, taking intraoral and extraoral patient photos and helping the hygienist enter patient details in the chart.
Schedule patient appointments.
Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and assist with EMR systems.
Ensure a clean and aseptic environment in the treatment area.
Communicate with patients in a professional and empathetic manner to enhance their experience.
Help with sterilization.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34 ââ¬â 40 per week
