Job Title: Office Manager / Dental Assistant (Traveling Oral Surgery Practice)
Location: Houston Area (Travel Required)Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Office Manager who is cross-trained as a Dental Assistant to join our traveling oral surgery practice. The ideal candidate will exhibit skills in scheduling, treatment coordination, and have a strong understanding of dental office operations. A willingness to travel throughout the Houston area is essential, as this position does not involve a fixed office.
Key Responsibilities:
Remote Work Responsibilities:
Conduct weekly calls with client offices to manage scheduling.
Review and coordinate clinical screening cases to ensure proper documentation is submitted and treatment plans are delivered promptly.
Perform post-operative calls to patients and arrange in-person follow-up appointments.
Manage supply ordering and inventory review.
Organize equipment repairs as needed.
Handle invoicing for client offices.
Review production data to verify accurate fees and dental codes.
Coordinate educational lunch-and-learn sessions for newly engaged dental offices.
Maintain positive relationships with doctor clients and their office managers.
On-call to answer phone calls, emails and text from patients and dental offices.
Surgery Day Responsibilities (Wed, Thurs, Fri):
Lead morning huddles.
Conduct sterilization of instruments
Manage patient intake and discharge processes.
Coordinate activities between front office staff and clinical teams to ensure timely patient care.
Review prescriptions and post-operative instructions with patients and their caretakers.
Ensure all necessary consents are collected and documented.
Assist in surgeries as needed.
Collect and review all patient records at the end of the day.
Verify production codes and billing accuracy.
Communicate any necessary changes in treatment during surgery.
Requirements:
Valid Texas RDA license.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (not just CPR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
DAANCE certification.
Phlebotomy experience.
Compensation:
Starting salary of $50,000 per year.
Health insurance reimbursement benefit.
Production-based structured bonus incentive.
Travel Expectations:
This position requires travel to various dental offices within the Houston area. Flexibility to take calls at any reasonable time is crucial to ensure smooth coordination with offices.
