Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, assisting techniques, treatment planning, and familiarity with various dental procedures including prosthodontics. The Dental Assistant will work closely with dentists and other staff to deliver exceptional service to our patients.
Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary tools and materials.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for use.
Take digital dental radiographs and intraoral photographs as required.
Maintain accurate records and patient information using Dentrix.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Manage appointment scheduling, including confirming appointments and following up with patients.
Handle administrative tasks such as collecting copays and processing insurance claims. Willing to train.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the clinic.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and equipment is essential.
Experience in general dentistry or prosthodontics is a plus.
Proficiency in Dexis imaging and the use of 3D scanners is advantageous.
Knowledge of Dentrix software for managing patient records is beneficial.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail are required.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
