Weââ¬â¢re searching for a personable dental hygienist to join our talented team of healthcare providers! Youââ¬â¢ll welcome patients and conduct their initial screenings, perform thorough, dental cleanings, and help dentists with examinations and procedures. $64 - $67 hourly Responsibilities:
Record any changes to the patientââ¬â¢s health history and document the ongoings of each appointment
Remove plaque and apply fluoride or other sealants to prevent cavities and tooth decay
Use x-ray machines to take photos of the patientsââ¬â¢ teeth so the dentist can clearly identify cavities or other oral health issues
Sterilize all dental equipment to make sure everything is properly cleaned
Explain good oral hygiene techniques to patients of all ages, such as thorough brushing and flossing twice daily
Help patients achieve optimal preventive care at home
Qualifications:
Licensed to practice as a dental hygienist in the state
In-depth knowledge of dental safety regulations and HIPAA regulations
Able to stand up for long periods of time to administer dental exams and procedures
Associateââ¬â¢s degree and certification in dental hygiene program required, higher levels of education are highly valued
Current CPR certification
Local anesthesia certified preferred
Nitrous Oxide Administration certificate preferred
