Job SummaryThe treatment coordinator is an extended representative of the doctor and the practice. The primary responsibility of this person is taking care of people and arranging and coordinating the events and appointments necessary for the patient to begin treatment.
The Treatment Coordinator allows the doctor to spend the necessary time with patients and handles all other areas and discussions regarding the particulars of dental treatment. The Treatment Coordinator promotes the doctor and the practice by building relationships with patients and parents and general dentists and specialists. The goals of the treatment coordinator are to listen to the patient's needs and expectations, to use her/his verbal skills to create and nurture relationships, and to build the patient's trust and confidence in the doctors and staff ââ¬â all with the end goal of the patient beginning their dental treatment.
You will be responsible for presenting treatment plans, following up with patients and referring offices, communicating financial obligations, and ensuring a positive experience for everyone involved. If you have an outgoing personality, are highly organized, and possess excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you! A background in dentistry would be preferred.
Duties
Present and explain treatment plans to patients and their families in a clear and engaging manner.
Follow up with patients to address questions and concerns regarding their treatment.
Maintain open communication with referring offices to ensure a seamless experience for patients.
Develop and maintain strong rapport with patients, their families, and the office team.
Organize and manage patient records and treatment schedules efficiently.
Assist in the coordination of appointments and follow-up visits.
Collaborate with dentist and other team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
Follow-up with patients who have not yet begun treatment
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a dental setting is preferred but not required.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Outgoing personality with a passion for helping others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in dental software and general computing skills is a plus.
Experience in sales is desirable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.00 per week
