OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our pediatric dentists while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for our young patients. Your expertise in dental assisting will be crucial in helping us deliver high-quality dental care tailored to children’s needs.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety standards.
Manage patient records and ensure all documentation meets HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle administrative tasks as needed.
Maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring they are sterilized and ready for use.
Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, particularly in a pediatric setting.
Familiarity with dental receptionist duties is a plus.
Knowledge of infection control procedures and safety protocols is essential.
Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Epic is advantageous.
Understanding of dental terminology to facilitate effective communication within the practice.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
