The dental assistant serves as the chairside assistant to the dentist in all dental cases and is an integral member of the dental clinic, assisting in the daily operations of the dental clinic and all aspects required for a dental office setting.
Responsibilities:
The dental assistant will provide chairside dental assistance to dentists
Prepares charts for procedures and documents in the EMR
Takes radiographs in digital mode maintains and processes equipment monitors supplies
Assists with front desk duties including answering the phone and making appointments, meeting and greeting patients
Cleans and sanitizes dental exam rooms after each patient uses and completes standard cleaning and infection control according to protocol.
Maintaining a positive interpersonal relationships with staff and dental residents Providing reassurance to patients during procedures.
Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
Completion of dental assistant training program certificate
1+ years Dental Assistant experience required
Possesses strong patient centered communication skills
Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
Dental Radiology License.
