Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the highest standards of infection control. This role is crucial in promoting oral health and educating patients about proper dental hygiene practices. Experience with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is preferred.
Responsibilities
Performs routine prophylactic & periodontal treatment procedures.
Follows the ââ¬ÅNew Patient Experienceââ¬Â protocol.
Assist clinical team where needed with typical procedures such as taking and developing X-rays, administering local anesthetic, charting, intra oral photos, and assisting with any other clinical procedures up to their legal ability.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Utilize infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
Assist in the development of treatment plans based on patient needs.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff to provide high-quality patient care.
Document patient interactions and treatment outcomes accurately in the dental office management systems.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Organization and Time Management
Checks to see if all necessary documents, radiographs, forms and signatures are complete and in the patient's chart.
Does not allow personal issues to interfere with workload.
Maintains a clean, orderly and professional work area.
Seeks out appropriate uses of time during a non-busy period and is able to self-direct and to identify tasks to be accomplished.
First priority of time management is ensuring a successful patient visit
Second priority is converting same-day treatment or making calls for treatment reactivation to help fill the schedule to goal.
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting.
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and patient care best practices.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and educate them effectively.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 ââ¬â 36 per week
