Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant/Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting surgical teams during procedures, ensuring that the operating room is prepared and that all necessary instruments and supplies are available. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
Duties

Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Assist surgeons and other dental staff during surgical procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
Monitor patient vital signs and assist with basic life support as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and assist in post-operative care.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals in various departments, including implants, restorative and general dentistry procedures
Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on best practices within the surgical field.
Assist with all dental implant related procedures and the restorative process of implant retained dentures

Skills

Proficiency in Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques.
Experience or knowledge of working in a dental oral surgery setting with implants and implant retained prosthesis
Familiarity with Open Dental Software
Strong analytical skills to assess situations quickly and effectively during surgeries.
Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals.
A strong understanding of sterile techniques and safety protocols within the operating room.
Strong knowledge of dental implant procedures, Implant retained prosthesis and all general dentistry procedures
Experience with IV Sedation is a plus
