Our Culllman office is hiring and looking for a Hygienist. We are looking for a hygienist that is self-motivated, loves working with children, and enjoys helping others!
We are an established pediatric dental office that is state of the art. We love what we do, who we work for, and who we work with.
A dental hygienistââ¬â¢s (bilingual preferred) responsibilities include screening patients as they arrive, educating patients and parents about their diet and how it impacts their oral health, teaching how to properly brush and floss, and providing a cleaning of the teeth and gums as well as removing plaque.
Other duties responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Taking and developing X-rays
Sterilizing instruments
Supporting the Dentist during the exam and sometimes for minor procedures
Updating and maintaining patient dental records in Dentrix Software system
Schedule patient appointments
Advising parents/patients on ways to better improve oral hygiene
Advancement Opportunity: Pending review and evaluation, supervising dentist may provide tuition assistance for infiltration classes.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Should be fluent in Spanish and be able to converse, translate, interpret, provide assistance ensuring clear and accurate communication
Knowledge of experience working with Dentrix software preferred
Must possess excellent interpersonal relations skills and have the capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities
Must possess a high level of flexibility and tolerance to adjustments/changes in work loads and assignments
Alabama Dental Hygiene License required
Valid driverââ¬â¢s license is required
Must be available weekly Monday through Thursday
