Our Janesville office is looking for Dental Assistants to join their team! We provide on the job training, so certification is not required to be hired as a DA in our Janesville clinic.

Job Purpose
To assist the dentist effectively and efficiently in providing dental care to patients and to promote Familia Dentalââ¬â¢s culture and mission and values.
Responsibilities
Welcome and escort patient in a professional and friendly manner from reception area to and from the treatment areas.
Ensure treatment rooms are equipped and stocked with inventory and re-order when necessary.
Take and record patientââ¬â¢s medical and dental histories and vital signs, blood pressure & pulse.
Document/chart all dental procedures performed during each patient visit per Dentistââ¬â¢s instructions and legal requirements.
Take dental diagnostic x-rays
Pour and base diagnostic models and fabricate temporary restorations ââ¬â as allowed by state law.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials and assist Dentist during dental procedures.
Effectively provide dental education and information to patients to ensure patient awareness of dental health, and oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)
Notify Office Manager of equipment trouble or general safety concerns
Attend and participate in morning huddles, chart reviews and regular office meetings
Recognize and be sensitives to patientsââ¬â¢ emotions
Understand and follow company policy and procedures
Understand and follow state and federal laws related to a dental office
Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications/Skill Sets
Exceptional customer/patient service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
Basic computer knowledge, experience with dental management software a plus
Ability to work in fast paced, patient-focused environment
Detail oriented
Able to carry out written and verbal instructions
Organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Meet state requirements for DA duties, continuing education, or license; Basic Life Support (BLS), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate
Dental assisting experience is preferred, but not required
Experience working within healthcare or related field strongly preferred

Availability:
Office Hours: M-F, 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM and Sat, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Full time employment:
4+ days a week, 30-40 hours per week
available to work Saturdays, when needed
Full shifts (8-10 hours)
