Job Description
Overview:
The Endodontist Dental Assistant will support the endodontist in the delivery of high-quality dental care, particularly focusing on procedures related to the root canal system, tooth pain, and infection treatments. The role involves assisting with clinical tasks during endodontic procedures, managing patient care, maintaining equipment, and performing administrative duties as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of endodontic procedures, excellent clinical skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
This role will suppr Dr. Donna Mattschec a couple of days a month. Come join the team!
Schedule (days/hours): 6 Days a month assisting an Endodontist / 16 Hours Responsibilities:
Assist the endodontist during root canal treatments, surgical procedures, and other endodontic therapies.
Prepare and sterilize endodontic instruments, equipment, and materials prior to treatments.
Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Assist with the placement of rubber dams and other isolation techniques during root canal procedures.
Prepare and mix endodontic materials, such as sealers, gutta-percha, and medicaments, under the endodontistââ¬â¢s direction.
Provide chairside support by passing instruments, managing patient comfort, and monitoring vital signs during procedures.
Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after each use to meet infection control and safety standards.
Provide post-treatment instructions to patients and schedule follow-up visits as necessary.
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures, treatment plans, and any relevant medical history.
Patient Care:
Greet and prepare patients for endodontic procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about their treatment.
Educate patients on proper post-operative care, pain management, and what to expect during recovery.
Answer patient questions and address concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
Assist in managing anxious patients by providing reassurance and support throughout their treatment.
Qualifications:
An x-ray license
At least one year of endo experience
MN LDA license
Compensation: $30 - $40 per hour About:
