*Job Summary:*
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with our dental team to provide exceptional patient care and support. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring the comfort of our patients throughout their visit.
*Responsibilities:*
- Assist dentists during examinations and treatment procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Manage patient records and documentation
- Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures
- Perform dental receptionist duties as needed
- Uphold strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
*Qualifications:*
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant for a minimum of 2 years
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with general dentistry practices
- Proficiency in medical documentation and recordkeeping
- Ability to operate medical imaging equipment
- Understanding of anatomy relevant to dental procedures
- Experience with medical coding and Eaglesoft is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor
- Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not required
