Job Description
Our Dental Suprascalers play a critical role in maintaining patients' oral health by focusing on the removal of supragingival deposits (plaque, tartar, and stains) from teeth surfaces. Working under the supervision of a licensed dental hygienist or dentist, our Suprascalers ensure that patients receive professional care and guidance to maintain optimal oral hygiene. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with dental hygienists and dentists to deliver comprehensive patient care
Perform supragingival scaling to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth surfaces
Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
Polish teeth to smooth surfaces and improve appearance after scaling
Educate patients on effective ways to maintain oral health and prevent plaque buildup, including proper brushing and flossing techniques
Record treatment notes and observations in patientsââ¬â¢ charts accurately
Update and maintain patient records, sharing relevant information with the supervising dentist or hygienist
Clean, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment per health and safety standards
Clearly explain procedures to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have
Qualifications:
Dental Suprascaler Certificate
Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify
X-ray certification where state regulations specify
Valid CPR certification

Working Environment & Physical Requirements
This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will be required to carry, transport, and use tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
