Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, punctuality, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and various chairside procedures including endodontics, oral surgery, crown and bridge, and fillings.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Take dental radiographs as needed.
Utilizing 3D scanners when applicable, taking alginates and PVS impressions.
Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
Support the dental team in maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. Cleaning rooms and re-stocking supplies.
Fabricating removable appliances, 3D printing or pouring models.
Assisting with Hygiene charting as needed.
Experience
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a strong understanding of infection control practices.
Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental software is advantageous.
Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is beneficial but not required.
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the field of dental assisting is essential.
