Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. EDDA preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by providing excellent patient care and assisting with various clinical procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts, including documenting treatment plans and patient history.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure the clinic is well-stocked.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
Support pediatric patients with a caring approach, making their experience comfortable.
Assist in endodontic, prosthodontic, and other specialized procedures as required.

Qualifications

Knowledge of anatomy, dental assisting techniques, and medical records management is essential.
Experience in taking medical imaging (X-rays) is highly desirable.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
Understanding of endodontics and prosthodontics will be advantageous.
Ability to monitor vital signs when necessary.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant experience preferred.
A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adapting to new technologies within the field.
