Job ResponsibilitiesUnder limited supervision of the Facility Administrator, oversees the provision of all dental services at the Pee Dee Regional Center.Administers clinical dental services to the residents of the Pee Dee Regional Center. Clinical services included but are not limited to examinations, prophylaxis treatments, scaling and root planing, and minor surgical interventions when appropriate.Responsible for administrative services necessary to sustain an ongoing comprehensive dental services operation.Responsible for development and maintenance of efficient scheduling of dental activities for Pee Dee Regional Center residents.Supervises and provides management support for all professional and para-professional personnel in the dental department.Develops, maintains, and promotes an ongoing dental prophylaxis program. Promotes good oral hygiene of residents through comprehensive oral hygiene educational programs to consumers.Orders necessary dental equipment and maintains the DPH requirements for radiology, autoclave and nitrous. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Graduate of an accredited dental school with dental experience. Licensed to practice dentistry in South Carolina. State Disaster Plan: In accordance with the State's Disaster Plan, which includes hazardous weather, DDSN employees may be required to work in times of an emergency or disaster.
