Family Practice Looking for Health-Focused Front Desk Receptionist for a part time position!

We are a beautiful, high tech and paperless dental practice in Uptown New Orleans, LA and we have pulled out all the stops when it comes to air quality and safety. Everything in our office is brand new, state of the art and our air quality purification system is unparalleled, all with a conscious effort to minimize the toxic footprint of a dental practice.
We are looking for a Patient Coordinator! Experience in a dental office and/or medical billing is preferred, but we will train the right person with no experience! WE ARE LOOKING FOR A TRUE RAY OF SUNSHINE - after all, our Patient Coordinator is the first and last point of contact that our patients have with our team. Someone who can bring positive energy and attitude to the team and our patients as you grow with the practice.
This is an exciting time in dentistry for brand new practices like ours and we are looking for a lifelong learner who is organized, health conscious, motivated and committed to a mission of oral-systemic health.

The ideal candidate will be willing to help in any area of the practice when necessary. Prior knowledge of Open Dental Practice Management Software is a HUGE plus, but not required.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
High school diploma
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with dental assisting
Proficiency with computers, Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Facebook/Instagram marketing
Customer service and patient relations experience
Affinity and passion for healthy, nontoxic living
Solid writing and grammar skills
Highly organized, punctual, neat, professional, trustworthy and accurate
Quick response/accurate data entry
Confidence in preparing, presenting and discussing financial options and plans to patients during their appointments
Ability to support patients in choosing the membership and treatment plans that are right for them
Great communicator
Good collaborator
Positive thinker
A team player and able to adapt to office policy improvements (office will constantly strive for improved customer care/service)
Experience and true understanding of what it means to ENGINEER the clinical schedule effectively
Ability to establish systems with a startup practice preferrred
Ability to keep public areas of the office clean and organized
Conflict resolution experience. We like to get along and we have some great patients and team. We are looking for someone who can spot a potential problem and resolve it before it becomes an issue.
