Job Description
We are looking for a competent, skilled and motivated Dental Assistant with a passion for patient care to support our endodontic practice. Youââ¬â¢ll ensure excellent patient care and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentistââ¬â¢s shoulders. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. Responsibilities
Assist the Endodontist during patient procedures, including root canals, apicoectomies, and other specialized treatments.
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure proper infection control procedures are followed.
Take high-quality radiographs (X-rays) and assist with diagnostic imaging using a 3D X-ray unit.
Prepare and manage endodontic materials, instruments, and medications
Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care for endodontic procedures
Record patient medical histories, update treatment plans, and maintain accurate patient records.
Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment.
Provide excellent patient care, ensuring comfort and addressing patient concerns.
Assist in managing patient appointments and follow-ups.
Welcoming and checking-in patients to the dental office.
Schedule appointments
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures.
Skills
Proven experience as dental assistant is great but not required
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods not required but helpful
Understanding of health & safety regulations
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Proficiency with dental instruments, materials, and technology is helpful but not required
Good computer skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Well-organized and reliable
Graduated from dental assistant school can be helpful but not required
Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA) but again not required
Fluent in Spanish is helpful but not required
