As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for patients, helping to create a welcoming environment while ensuring their needs are met before, during, and after their visits. Whether you have prior experience in healthcare or are looking to start a career in patient coordination, we provide training to help you succeed!
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients warmly and make them feel comfortable as soon as they enter the office.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the day.
Answer patient calls and inquiries regarding appointments, insurance, treatment options, and payment plans.
Verify patient insurance and financial information, and assist patients with understanding their insurance benefits.
Collect and update patient records and documents accurately.
Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures, including processing payments and explaining billing information.
Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure a seamless experience for the patient.
Follow up with patients regarding treatment plans, reminders, and any necessary documentation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in customer service, healthcare, or administrative roles is a plus, but not required.
A positive, compassionate attitude and a commitment to excellent patient care.
Experience with dental or medical software systems is helpful but not required (training will be provided).
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
