Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical skills and interpersonal abilities, as you will assist in various dental procedures while maintaining a welcoming environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
Take and record vital signs to monitor patient health prior to treatment.
Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and documenting treatment plans using dentrix.
Perform basic dental procedures such as taking impressions, ct scans, digital scanning
Whitening treatment.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols. Weekly maintenance on equipment.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional care, particularly in pediatric dentistry settings.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is mandatory.
X-ray certification required.
Experience with medical records management systems Dentrix & Dexis preferred; willing to train.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
