Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality dental care to children in a friendly and supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring that the dental office runs smoothly. A passion for working with children and a commitment to excellent patient care are essential for success in this position.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Provide comfort and support to pediatric patients, helping to alleviate anxiety and create a positive experience.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using Eaglesoft or similar software.
Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area in compliance with infection control protocols.
Manage appointment scheduling, confirming patient visits, and handling any necessary follow-up communications.
ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and experience:
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, particularly in a pediatric dentistry setting.
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, anatomy, and general dentistry practices is advantageous.
Familiarity with endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures is a plus.
Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental software for patient management is desirable.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and the dental team.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
