Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use.
Take X-rays as directed by the dentist, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Manage medical records accurately, documenting patient information and treatment plans.
Provide support in prosthodontics procedures, assisting with the fitting of crowns, bridges, and dentures.
Schedule patient appointments and manage front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a friendly and comforting environment for young patients.
Maintain an organized and clean work area to promote safety and efficiency within the practice.
Qualifications
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Knowledge of medical coding systems is a plus.
Proficiency in using dental software systems for record management is desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is an advantage but not required.
