Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality dental care in a friendly and supportive environment. As a Pediatric Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our young patients feel comfortable and safe during their dental visits while assisting the dentist in various procedures.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Perform aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Record patient vital signs and medical histories accurately.
Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage patient flow and ensure that appointments run smoothly.
Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for patient records management.
Maintain an organized inventory of dental supplies and equipment.

ExperienceThe ideal candidate will possess:

Previous experience in a dental clinic setting, preferably with pediatric patients.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry, particularly in relation to children's dental health.
Familiarity with four-handed dentistry practices and aseptic techniques.
Experience with dental assisting duties including taking X-rays, managing patient records, and assisting in various procedures.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft is preferred.
Sealants, Coronal Polishing, Radiology, Nitrous oxide, CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week

Rotating weekends
