Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care. This position involves assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. A strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready.- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.- Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and following up on visits.- Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.- Support front office duties as needed, including answering phones and managing patient inquiries.
Requirements- Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred.- Knowledge of medical terminology, general dentistry practices, and endodontics is beneficial.- Familiarity with medical coding and medical imaging techniques is a plus.- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.- Ability to perform vital signs assessments as part of patient care.- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.- Certification in dental assisting or relevant training programs is highly desirable.- Aseptic technique knowledge to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
