Job Description
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment- Take and develop dental x-rays- Prepare and maintain dental supplies and equipment inventory- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Perform dental charting, including medical records and documentation- Assist with dental laboratory procedures- Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program or relevant experience- X-ray certification (if required by state regulations)- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments- Proficiency in medical documentation and recordkeeping- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
