OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Take and record vital signs to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the system.
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix Ascend for scheduling appointments and managing patient files.
Perform medical imaging procedures, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and work areas.
Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is essential.
Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix Ascend, is a plus.
Ability to perform medical imaging tasks accurately and safely.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining medical records.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
A compassionate approach towards pediatric dentistry is highly desirable.
Certification as a Dental Assistant or equivalent training is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
