Job Description

We are looking for a professional and friendly dental hygienist to join our growing team.
We are a friendly, single-doctor (4 chair) family dental practice in Durham, NC. We are looking for a hygienists to join our team working 3-4 days a week 7:30am to 5:00pm. Very good working environment! Quality-oriented company culture. One column schedule and hygiene assistant provided needed. We focus mainly in adult patients (very little Pedo).
Pay rate: will be based on the selected candidate's professional experience.

Responsibilities:

Perform oral health assessments through thorough screening, charting and reporting of findings to dentist and in electronic record
Provide non-surgical periodontal therapy, including prophylaxis, root planning and scaling
Use of Intra-oral camera for diagnosis, as well as to document cases
Prepare treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols
Maintain instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments
Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
Maintain dental hygiene supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies
Proactively call patients to fill empty slots, if necessary

Required Qualifications/Skills:

Punctual
Thorough
Responsible
Dependable
Current North Carolina Dental Hygiene license
Current CPR certification
Excellent communication skills with all types of demographics and personality styles, including elderly patients and patients with high needs
Excellent time management skills

Additional Qualifications/Skills

Anesthesia certification not required.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 32.5 per week
