Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team in the Richardson TX and North Plano/Frisco TX clinic locations.
As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dentist during procedures. Duties:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Conduct patient assessments and oral examinations
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide personalized recommendations
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health principles
- Proficiency in using dental office software systems such as Open Dental is a big plus
- Familiarity with medical coding for dental procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health practices and dental treatment options
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring during dental procedures is preferred
