Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
Able to dental radiographs (X-rays) is required.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office.
Ensure the treatment area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Support various dental specialties including Periodontics, Oral Surgery, Endodontics, and Four-Handed Dentistry.

Qualifications

Proficiency in medical terminology and dental terminology is essential.
Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry techniques is a plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
CPR & X-ray certifications are required.
