Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Take patient histories and record vital signs as needed.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist with digital impressions.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the dental clinic.
Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure seamless patient interactions.
Support pediatric dentistry practices by providing compassionate care to younger patients.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, particularly in general or pediatric dentistry settings.
Familiarity with Epic software is a plus for managing patient records effectively.
Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is advantageous.
Strong understanding of infection control standards and practices within a dental clinic environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
