You will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper hygiene practices. The position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and infection control protocols.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth while ensuring patient comfort.- Utilize our dental software for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans.- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.- Maintain infection control standards by following aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures.- Review medical records to identify any potential health issues that may affect dental treatment.- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
Qualifications- Valid dental hygiene license in the New York.- Ability to perform documentation review accurately and efficiently.- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is essential.- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient assessment and education.
