Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong commitment to infection control and patient education, ensuring that each patient receives the best possible care in a comfortable environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing to maintain optimal oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the documentation review of patient records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images as needed.
Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care, including assisting during procedures when necessary.
Work effectively with pediatric patients, ensuring a positive experience for children in the dental office.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques.
Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with medical imaging technology is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Compassionate approach to patient care, particularly with pediatric patients.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
