Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our private, growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. You will be responsible for performing preventive dental hygiene procedures, educating patients on oral health, and ensuring compliance with all health regulations and standards.
Duties- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and oral health evaluations.- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar.- Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.- Review patient documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.- Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for patient records management and scheduling.- Assist in medical imaging procedures as needed, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.- Stay updated on current dental practices, terminology, and advancements in general dentistry.
Requirements- Valid dental hygiene license in New Jersey.- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology.- Proficiency in documentation review to maintain accurate patient records.- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques is preferred.- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
